সাধারণ নিয়ম এবং প্রত্যাশা

১ক. বাক স্বাধীনতা প্রসঙ্গ:

সামহোয়্যার ইন ব্লগের যাত্রা শুরু হয়েছিলো সাধারণ মানুষের কথা বলার একটি স্বাধীন মঞ্চ হিসাবে, যেখানে সবাই তাদের চিন্তা, মতামত, সৃজনশীলতা বিনিময় করতে পারবে। চিন্তাধারা যতই চরম-পন্থী(radical) কিংবা রক্ষণশীল (conservative) হোক না কেন, তার স্বাধীন মত প্রকাশকে আমরা সমর্থন করি, যতক্ষণ না তা রাষ্টীয় আইন বা অন্যের ব্যাক্তি স্বাধীনতা লঙ্ঘন করে।

১খ. নিয়মভঙ্গ প্রসঙ্গে:

এখন থেকে ব্লগের নিয়মভঙ্গের জন্য কোন ব্লগারকে ব্যান করা হলে তিনি তার নিজস্ব ব্লগ পাতায় একটি নোটিশ পাবেন, যেখানে নিয়মভঙ্গের সুনির্দিষ্ট ধারার উল্লেখ থাকবে। কোন ব্লগারের পোস্ট প্রথম পাতা থেকে সরিয়ে দেয়া হলেও ব্লগার একই ভাবে নিয়মভঙ্গের সুনির্দিষ্ট কারন সম্পর্কে অবগত হবেন।

১গ. নতুন ব্লগারের জন্য প্রথম পাতার নীতিমালা:

এখন থেকে, সকল নতুন ব্লগারদের ইমেইল, নিক এবং প্রথম কয়েকটি পোস্ট একটি পর্যবেক্ষণ প্রক্রিয়ার মধ্য দিয়ে যাবে, যাচাই করা হবে ঐ ব্লগারের ইমেইল, নিক ও পোস্ট কন্টেন্ট যথার্থ এবং শ্লীল কিনা। আমরা ঐ ব্লগারের প্রথম পোস্টটি প্রথম পাতায় রাখার মতো মানসম্পন্ন কিনা সে বিষয়টিও যাচাই করবো। যদি পোস্টটিতে আপত্তিকর কিছু না থাকে তাহলে তা প্রথম পাতায় প্রকাশিত হবে। এই যাচাই প্রক্রিয়ায় ১ ঘন্টা থেকে ২৪ ঘন্টা সময় লাগতে পারে। কিছু ব্লগারের নতুন নিক রেজিস্ট্রেশন এর মাধ্যমে, প্রথম পাতায় ফ্লাডিং এবং ব্লগের পরিবেশ নষ্ট করার উদ্দেশ্যকে ঠেকানোর জন্য এই ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হয়েছে।

১ঘ. প্রথম পাতার উপর নিয়ন্ত্রন:

সামহোয়্যার ইন... হাতে গোণা কয়েকটা সাইট এর মধ্যে একটি যা প্রতিটি ব্লগারকে প্রথম পাতায় লেখা প্রকাশের সুযোগ দেয়। কিন্তু আমরা লক্ষ্য করেছি কিছু ব্লগার এই সুযোগের অপব্যবহার শুরু করেছেন। যদিও এখন থেকে আমরা সুনির্দিষ্ট নীতিমালা ভঙ্গ না করলে কোন পোস্ট মুছে না ফেলার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি। কিন্তু আমরা সকল শ্রেণীর ব্লগারদের কাছে প্রথম পাতার পরিচ্ছন্নতা, বৈচিত্র ও আকর্ষণ রক্ষার্থে এর উপর আরো নিয়ন্ত্রন প্রতিষ্ঠার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি।

১ঙ. যে সব লেখায় রেফারেন্স হিসাবে কিছু আপত্তিকর বিষয় বা শব্দ আসবে:
